If photographing an awesome wedding is already one of my favourite things to do; whenever I get to travel to document love, I truly feel the luckiest. Not only it forces me to get out of all of my possible comfort bubbles, but it also inspires me immensely to photograph love in new places, under a different light.
So naturally, when Becca told me that their friends were flying from all corners of the world, to celebrate their wedding at a beautiful Hacienda in the South of Spain, I immediately got the goosebumps and those characteristic butterflies that tell me I must jump to the opportunity. Wow was I happy I did!
Driving from 45º Sevilla through the calming hills of Cadiz and all the way to Vejer de La Frontera, I could feel the anticipation boiling through my veins. The landscape was getting arid as my heart was racing vividly only to immediately fall in love with Casa La Siesta. As I entered, i understood instantly what Vogue and Condé Naste were raving about. This boutique Hotel is an Oasis of sorts, surrounded by golden fields inhabited by golden cows.
As soon as I met Becca and Gav I knew I was in for a treat. They celebrated an intimate ceremony with Jewish traditions followed by an evening of laughs, complicity and dancing, all of it carried away by love. Not only the love of them two, but of everyone who was there that day. The memories created that night, will be hard to forget.
